You may have read about 'Walter' on the Cars page of ha-web. Here's some more about the machine. Well, maybe machine is not quite the right word. It really does seem to have soul and even more clearly noticable: moods.
When I got the car on oktober the 18th it had been standing still for more or less half a year and before that it didn't do much driving either, hence the 53.600 kilometers it has done in it's lifetime. I've been through the books and saw al the yearly inspections being stamped into the service-manual. The first owner was an elderly man who -that's what I truly believe- used the car for two things: Driving to the yearly service at the local BMW dealership and driving out of the garage, to clean the garage out and maybe, just maybe on a special occasion it was used properly.
The second owner seems to have been the son of the first owner and inherrited it, but didn't have any use for it either. Still he kept it for another four years. Probably because of nice memories or something like that. In 2008 he let go of it and sold it to a Dutch dealer who took it to the Netherlands where I saw it and bought it.
